Bargaining Update - 2/7/2024

Today, the SEIU 521 management team set the tone for how they will be bargaining with us. While management avoided rejecting our proposals outright they have made it clear that they are focused on maintaining management’s power.

“We are definitely not interested in limiting ourselves in any way to how many temporary workers we can have.” -Robert Klimczak (Management, Chief of Orgainizing) in 2/7/24 bargaining session

These are the articles that CWA presented at the negotiation table today:

• Article 13 - MEETING STANDARDS AND PROGRESSIVE DISCIPLINE

• Article 38 - OUT-OF-TOWN ASSIGNMENTS

• Article 41 - NO STRIKE / NO LOCKOUT

• Article 46 - EDUCATION & WELLNESS

These are the articles that SEIU 521 presented at the negotiation table today:

• Article 2 - UNION SECURITY

• Article 4 - UNION REPRESENTATION

• Article 5 - NON-DISCRIMINATION

• Article 10 - NEW EMPLOYEES

• Article 11 - PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS

• Article 13 - PROGRESSIVE DISCIPLINE

• Article 19 - TRANSPORTATION, MILEAGE, & OTHER EXPENSES

• Article 20 - VACATION

Please keep in mind that we have yet to begin bargaining on any economic proposals at this time.

Our upcoming bargaining dates are:

• 2/13/2024 1pm-3pm & 5:30-6:30pm

• 2/22//2024 11am-2pm

• 2/29/2024 11am-1pm
