AT&T Bargaining Bulletin #1

February 25, 2020

CWA Local 9423 members stand in solidarity with District 9's Bargaining Team

On April 4, 2020 our CWA/AT&T wireline contract will be expiring. On February 4, 2020 in recognition of our two month mark we will be participating in a day of action for the PRO Act (HR2474).

The Pro Act (HR2474) is the most important piece of legislation to date that strengthens the laws that protect workers’ rights to join a union.  It also has provisions that gives us a stronger hand at the bargaining table, so it is very important that we all take time to contact our members of congress regarding the PRO Act!

CWA 9423 members at Piedmont, take the safety survey at the following link.

Together we can improve unsafe working conditions for agents at Piedmont Airlines!

Our present contract with AT&T (Wireline) expires at 11:59 P.M. (Pacific Daylight Savings Time) April 4, 2020.

In preparation, the Union needs your help. It is very important that each member participates by letting your bargaining committee know your thoughts and preferences on job-related matters.

To receive your input, this survey has been prepared for you to complete no later than December 6, 2019. The survey will be used to determine bargaining priorities and mobilization strategies for the AT&T bargaining.

The Foundation’s Board of Directors has approved the awarding of sixteen (16) partial college scholarships of $4,000 each for two years. Eligible for the scholarships are CWA members, their spouses, children, and grandchildren, including the dependents of retired, laid-off, or deceased members. Applications will be available solely online for submission on the Foundation’s website at

We need your help!!  It's not going well today.  We usually have about 700-800 calls at this time during the day of action, but today we have only generated 285 calls; only 2 calls of which were made on the Senate line.  We need to make those calls!!!
