As the sun sets this Friday evening your CWA District 9 bargaining team has reached a tentative agreement that is believed to improve the working standards for all members that are covered within this contract. A special thanks to all the members, district mobilizers, local mobilizers and local officers, that participated in mobilizing activities that helped make this agreement a reality. We have listed the highlights of this agreement below.

Base Wages:

March 19, 2020

The Bargaining Committee has CONTINUED negotiating with AT&T while adhering to all CDC recommendations (i.e. social distancing). Your Team has worked multiple days, late evenings, in an attempt to reach a tentative agreement. We have seen some movement from the company and we’ll continue pressing forward for a fair contract. We appreciate the well wishes and words of encouragement while we’re away from our families negotiating. As we negotiate, the Team has every Member and their family in their thoughts during this unprecedented time.

Your Bargaining Committee spent the last several days preparing a comprehensive counter proposal regarding Healthcare which we passed to the company today in formal bargaining. The Union counter proposal is designed to protect members from the companies continued attempt to transfer healthcare costs.  

The company continues to reward AT$T Executives with exuberant compensation packages while continually attempting to decrease our member’s standard of living. A perfect example would be WarnerMedia Chief John Stankey’s 2019 total compensation package which increased by 36%.
